Introducing our new direct data feed API

The Local Government Association (LGA) is launching a new direct data feed. This new data service, via an Application Programmable Interface (API), will give organisations the ability to use reliable and regularly updated local area information for their own applications and systems.

The feed is what powers the LGA's benchmarking tools, LG Inform and LG Inform Plus. The data is structured so that selections may be made for a wide range of geographical areas (in many cases as small as Lower Super Output Areas – LSOAs) along with individual wards, groups of wards, councils, and groups of councils.

Access to this data is free for light use and will incur a small charge for more extensive use.

The launch event took place as a breakfast briefing here.
