LGA Masterclass briefing days on data & digital for elected members

As part of our commitment to support local authorities and fire and rescue services in England to steadily improve their operations and efficiencies through sector-led improvement, the Local Government Association (LGA) is preparing a day's masterclass briefing event on data and digital transformation.

This event is intended for elected members and is being designed around their specific interests, needs, roles and responsibilities.  A sequence of speakers from local authorities will talk about their own experiences as a reference point for questions and a discussion within the group.  The day will focus on what an elected member needs to know to influence, challenge, monitor and oversee the introduction of digital transformation projects within their organisations.  Time will also be given to the consideration of the data practices, governance and use that fuels digital projects.  The role of data in influencing and evidencing council decision making has never been more prominent.

We are conscious that the most successful projects within local government develop when there is close partnership between the council members and the organisation's officers and partners.  This day is intended to encourage closer understanding and involvement by all delivery partners.

Four regional events are being planned around the country and you are encouraged to register your place quickly.  Space is limited (20 places per event) and we expect demand to be high.

Only elected members in England may register please.  The event is free.
